Anti-Bias Curriculum and Classrooms

Aimed at classroom teachers and administrators, this workshop familiarizes attendees with Anti-Bias goals, teaches them how to embed goals into curriculum and increases their knowledge around diversity, culture, and equity. Attendees learn to use “people-first” language and gain knowledge about classroom activities that help children embrace similarities and differences.

How to Talk about Race with Your Preschooler

Talking with your child about race starts early. Studies show children appear to begin their development of ethnic cognition with strong racial and ethnic attitudes that are frequently pro-White and anti-Black as young as three years of age (Quintana, 1998). This workshop, designed for parents of young children, will teach important concepts about race, dive into child psychology, and give practical guidance to parents. Attendees are expected to do simple pre-reading in preparation and are invited to participate in a lively discussion.

Limited to 10 attendees per workshop (live Zoom session)
